Hello Friend! I’m Jennette Kilgrow MS, RD
I earned my dietetics degree in 2005 and spent about seven years working as a clinical dietitian. After the birth of my third child, I transitioned to teaching nutrition courses online—a flexible position at a local University that allowed me to maintain my RD skills while being present at home.
In October 2013, life shifted dramatically. My husband and I became caregivers for two handicapped family members while welcoming another baby. Suddenly, my 'put-together' facade crumbled under the weight of stress and anxiety, and I found myself turning to food for comfort.
Despite my professional credentials, I struggled with food as my coping mechanism. I felt like an imposter—knowing deep down that I wasn’t living what I was teaching. I hit a breaking point, realizing my skills as an RD weren’t enough to fix this on my own. Swallowing my pride, I hired someone to help me.
It was humbling and hard—requiring honest self-reflection and uncomfortable truths.
Doing the work changed me!
Today, I sit with clients with both deep compassion for the struggle AND confidence knowing I have the tools to help.
